Sumalya Das, a post Graduate in English Language and Literature from Rabindra Bharati University, D.E.L.T. from Institue of English, Govt. of West Bengal, B.Ed. from Burdwan University excels cqually in English and Bengali critical and creative writings. A freelance journalist by avocation is a prolific writer, best known for shorter stories and essays on regional history. Already an author of 12 published books in English and Bengali on regional history, grammar works and S.S.C. guide for English. He has edited many research works like "Collected works' by Bhabani Prasad Majumder which won the Upendra Kishore Puroskar-2012 by Govt. of West Bengal for the best book for children and 'collection of Selected Stories' by Atin Bhandhanpadhay. He is awarded with 'Fellow of United Writers' Association' for his creative writings.
